Have Fun Events โ€“ Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 1, 2026 ยท Version: 2026-11 ยท Last updated: November 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Linear Group LLC, doing business as Have Fun Events ("Have Fun Events," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit havefunep.com (the "Site"), request a quote, book a rental, pick up a will-call order, or contact us by phone, text, or email. It is part of our Rental Terms & Conditions.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us through our quote form:

  • Name (first and last), mobile phone number, and email address.
  • Event details: event date, event type, guest count, type of venue, your rental wish list, dance floor size, and whether you want setup and takedown.
  • Delivery details: delivery address (street, apartment/suite or gate code, city, state, ZIP), delivery and pickup timing preferences, and venue access information (for example stairs, elevators, long carry, narrow gates, street parking, gated communities).
  • How you found us (for example Google, Yelp, social media, a referral) and any detail you add.

Information you give us when you book or contact us:

  • Billing name and contact details, and the name of your company or organization if you book for one.
  • Payment information. Card and bank payments are entered into, stored, and processed by our payment provider, QuickBooks Payments (Intuit). We never store full card numbers ourselves. We may see limited details, such as the card type and last four digits, on our payment records.
  • The name of your on-site contact.
  • Will-call pickups: to confirm who is picking up, we take a photo of the photo ID of the person picking up (see Section 4).
  • Text messages, emails, and records of calls with us (date, time, phone number, and length), and call recordings if a call is recorded (see Section 3). We also keep your estimate acceptance record (name typed, date, and the version of our Terms you accepted).
  • Photos of our equipment at delivery, setup, pickup, and return (including damage photos), and photos of our setups at your event as described in our Terms.

Information collected automatically when you use the Site:

  • Basic technical information, such as browser type, device type, IP address, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit.
  • How you arrived at the Site: the referring website, the first page you landed on, campaign tags (UTM codes), and advertising click IDs (for example from Google or Microsoft ads). Our quote form stores this "how you found us" information in your browser's local storage for up to 90 days and sends it with your quote request so we know which channels work.
  • How you interact with our pages, such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, and page navigation, recorded by Microsoft Clarity with all on-screen text and anything typed into forms masked (see Section 6).
  • Information collected by cookies and similar technologies used by our website platform and the analytics and advertising tools listed in Section 5.

We do not ask for Social Security numbers, health information, or precise geolocation from your device. The only sensitive information we collect is the ID photo for will-call pickups, which we use only to verify identity and delete as described in Section 4. The delivery address you give us is used only to deliver and pick up your rental.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Prepare and send your quote, and follow up on your request by text, email, or phone.
  • Book, schedule, deliver, set up, pick up, and bill your rental, and send delivery windows and event updates.
  • Verify the identity of the person picking up a will-call order.
  • Process payments, refunds, and post-event charges as described in our Terms.
  • Provide customer support, keep records of your booking and acceptance of our Terms, and review calls for quality and accuracy.
  • Understand how visitors find and use the Site (including through heatmaps and session replays), fix problems, improve the Site, and measure whether our ads lead to quote requests.
  • Protect our business, crew, and equipment, prevent spam and fraud, resolve disputes, and comply with the law.
  • Show our equipment and setups on our website and social media, as described in our Terms (you can opt out in writing before your event).

3. Phone Calls and Text Messages (SMS)

Our business phone and text messaging provider is Quo, which carries our calls and texts and stores them for us.

Calls

  • Calls with us may be recorded for quality, training, and record-keeping (for example, to confirm order details). When a call is recorded, you will hear a notice at the start of the call. If you do not want to be recorded, you can hang up and contact us by text or email instead.

Text messages

  • When you give us your mobile number on our quote form and agree to receive texts, you agree to receive text messages from Have Fun Events about your rental inquiry, quote, booking, and delivery and event updates.
  • These are transactional messages about your request or booking. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to stop receiving text messages at any time. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details in Section 13.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS consent with third parties for their marketing. Mobile information is shared only with the service providers that deliver our messages.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Will-Call ID Photos

  • When you pick up a will-call order, we take a photo of the photo ID of the person picking up to confirm their identity, as required by our Terms.
  • We use the photo only to verify identity and, if needed, to resolve damage, loss, or unpaid charges for that order. We do not use it for marketing and do not share it except as described in Section 5 under "Legal and safety."
  • We keep the photo only until the rental is returned without damage and with no open charges, and then we delete it. If there is damage, loss, or an unpaid balance, we keep it until that issue is resolved, and then we delete it.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We share personal information only as needed to run our business:

  • Website and forms: our website host and platform (Squarespace) and our form-processing service (Web3Forms), which delivers your quote request to our email.
  • Email and business tools: our email and office software provider (Google).
  • Invoicing and payments: our accounting, estimate, invoicing, and payment provider (Intuit QuickBooks, including QuickBooks Payments), which stores and processes card and bank payments.
  • Phone and text messaging: Quo, which carries, records (when a call is recorded), and stores our calls and text messages.
  • Analytics and advertising measurement: Google Analytics, Google Ads (including Google Tag Manager and call tracking), Microsoft Advertising, and Microsoft Clarity (see Section 6). These tools use cookies or similar technologies to tell us how visitors use the Site and which ads lead to quote requests. They may collect information about your visit directly and handle it under their own privacy policies.
  • Third-party content on the Site: our reviews carousel and logo showcase are display-only widgets loaded from Elfsight (elfsight.com), which may receive your IP address and basic browser information when the page loads. The Site also uses Google reCAPTCHA (spam protection) and Google Fonts, which may receive the same kind of information.
  • Our crew and contractors: delivery, setup, and pickup crew and any sub-rental suppliers that need your name, address, on-site contact, and event details to provide your rental.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, court order, or government request; to enforce our Terms or collect amounts owed; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, crew, or others.
  • Business transfer: if our business is sold or merged, customer records may transfer to the new owner, who must use them consistently with this Policy.

Our service providers may use your information only to provide services to us.

6. Cookies, Analytics, Ad Measurement, and "Do Not Track"

  • Our Site and the tools listed in Section 5 use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the Site working, prevent spam, measure traffic, and measure our ads.
  • Microsoft Advertising (UET): we use Microsoft's Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag to measure our Microsoft (Bing) ads. When you visit the Site, the tag may place cookies and send Microsoft information such as your IP address, browser details, the pages you visit, and whether you clicked one of our ads and then sent a quote request. Microsoft may use this information as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement (https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement).
  • Microsoft Clarity: we use Microsoft Clarity, loaded through Microsoft Advertising's UET tag, to understand how visitors use the Site. Clarity records your interactions with our pages, such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, and page navigation, and uses them to create heatmaps and session replays (a reconstruction of how a visit moved through the Site). We have set Clarity to mask all on-screen text and anything you type into forms, so that content is not captured in replays. Clarity and Microsoft Advertising use cookies and similar technologies, and Microsoft may use the data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement (https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement).
  • Google Ads and Google Analytics work in a similar way to measure our Google ads and Site traffic.
  • Your choices:
    • You can block or delete cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings. Some parts of the Site, including the quote form, may not work correctly if you do.
    • You can turn off personalized ads from Microsoft at account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings, and from Google at adssettings.google.com.
    • To ask us about or object to our use of Microsoft Clarity or ad measurement, email info@havefunep.com.
    • You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
  • Do Not Track: Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for responding to these signals, and our Site does not currently respond to them. Third parties (such as the analytics and advertising providers listed above) may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our Site.

7. How Long We Keep Information

  • Invoices and payment records: 7 years, for tax and accounting purposes.
  • Will-call ID photos: only as described in Section 4, then deleted.
  • All other customer information (for example quote requests, messages, call records and recordings, event details, and photos tied to your order): deleted 3 years after your last activity with us, such as your last quote, booking, payment, or message.
  • "How you found us" data in your browser: up to 90 days, unless you clear it sooner.

We may keep information longer only if the law requires it or we need it for an open dispute, unpaid balance, or legal claim, and only until that is resolved.

8. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information, and we rely on established providers for payment processing, phone and messaging, email, and website hosting. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a data breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Reviewing and Changing Your Information

You may ask us to review, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing info@havefunep.com or calling or texting (213) 245-1714. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity, and we may keep information we are required to keep by law or need for an active booking, unpaid balance, or dispute.

10. Your California Privacy Rights

  • California residents: We do not sell personal information and do not share it with third parties for their direct-marketing purposes (California Civil Code ยง1798.83).
  • Ad measurement and "sharing": We do not use your information to show you ads based on your activity across other websites. However, under California law, the analytics and advertising measurement tools described in Section 6 (such as Microsoft UET, Microsoft Clarity, and Google Ads) may be considered "sharing" of personal information. To opt out, use the choices in Section 6, or email info@havefunep.com with the subject "Do Not Share My Info" and we will honor your request.
  • You may contact us at any time with questions about your information or to make a request under Section 9. We will not treat you differently for making a privacy request.
  • If you are a California resident and a California privacy law gives you additional rights over your personal information, contact us and we will respond as that law requires.

11. Children

Our Site and services are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or from anyone under 18 to book a rental). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the updated Policy.
